How to control the order in which Vuex actions are executed

I have a parent component which fetches some data in the created life hook. Then in a child component, I use some of that data again in the created life hook. I was wondering how can I ensure that the vuex actions in the parent component (fetching the data) are executed before the data are used?

I know that I can:

  1. Make vue-router to wait until the promise has returned (probably using a Transition).

  2. Don’t render the child component until the data have been fetched (using variables that change to true when the data have been fetched)

Is there any other way?
